Reports & Recommendations of Departmental COVID Planning Taskforces (June 30, 2020)

At the beginning of May, the Executive Committee formed two taskforces to consider the implications of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic on department operations. The COVID Taskforce for Math Instruction and Assessment considered various modalities for fall teaching, methods for online assessment and grading, and the role of technology in remote teaching. The COVID Taskforce for Math and Statistics Building Usage considered workplace environments and safety, new behavioral protocols for department personnel, and guidelines for building usage.

The two taskforces have submitted their preliminary reports and recommendations to the Executive Committee for consideration, and we are releasing these documents to members of our department community for your information. The reports are available at https://uofi.box.com/s/pr3jxfhiotr0h9sn10hpkvbzpd5moz9n  (limited to Math Department members). If you cannot access the folder, please email Peggy Currid.
