Undergraduate Classroom Assistant Positions

The Department of Mathematics is looking for undergraduate students with a passion for math and teaching to join our team as Classroom Assistants (CAs) for large lecture courses. In this role, a CA may engage in a variety of responsibilities such as supporting instruction, tutoring your peers, and grading assignments. If you are interested in supporting an active and collaborative learning environment, we encourage you to fill out the interest form. Please be aware that submitting the form does not guarantee the offer of a position for any given semester but will add your name to our pool of interested applicants.

Graduate Teaching Assistantships

Body

Because of the nature of the work involved with our assistantships, the Department typically hires teaching assistants only from within mathematics graduate programs. The hiring process is managed internally within the department.

In rare circumstances, we have hired graduate students from other programs who meet our required qualifications. If you are not a graduate student in mathematics, you may notify us of your interest in an assistantship by submitting your qualifications; however, we cannot guarantee availability of any graduate assistantships with the Department of Mathematics and we do not guarantee a response to your inquiries.
