Biography
I am a fifth-year PhD student in the UIUC mathematics department. My advisor is Jacob Rasmussen.
Outside of mathematics, I enjoy playing guitar and piano, composing music, working out, reading, writing, and various outdoor activities like hiking, skiing, and climbing.
Research Interests
I am interested in knot theory, categorification, representation theory, and low-dimensional topology.
Research Description
Currently, I spend most of my time thinking about how to compute quantum invariants of rational tangles and links, categorified and decategorified, via the geometry of the punctured disk and its configuration spaces. I am also interested in the structural properties of Khovanov homology and its topological ramifications.
