Nancy Anderson, librarian for the Department of Mathematics for 32 years, passed away on May 12, 2020.

She worked in Technical Services at the UIUC Library from 1968 to 1972. In 1972, she was appointed Mathematics Librarian, where she rose to the rank of Professor of Library administration. During her tenure, the mathematics collection more than doubled to nearly 100,000 volumes and was recognized as one of the preeminent research mathematics collections worldwide. Nancy retired in 2000.
