The Department of Mathematics is pleased to announce that Professor Thomas Nevins and Professor Emeritus Jang-Mei Wu have been selected to the 2020 class of Fellows of the American Mathematical Society (AMS).

Nevins was cited for his contributions to noncommutative algebra, representation theory, and algebraic and symplectic geometry.

Wu was cited for her contributions to conformal and quasiconformal mapping theory and potential theory.
