The department has received the American Mathematical Society 2017 AMS Award for an Exemplary Program or Achievement in a Mathematics Department. This nationwide honor recognizes the department for its effective innovations helping students succeed at all levels, from introductory courses to mathematics majors to Masters and PhD students.
