I completed my master degree in Mathematics and Actuarial Science at the KU Leuven, Belgium. Actuarial Science helped to put a practical layer on the mathematical models I had encountered during my mathematical studies.
I've worked for several years in the field of risk management for insurance companies. I performed and analyzed quantitative studies in the domain of risk management: Market Consistent Embedded Value, New Business Value, Liability Adequacy Test, Forecast planning, etc.
At the university of Illinois, I am an instructor and teach 4 courses each year. I advise graduate students and I am also the coordinator of the IRisk Lab.
